Evaluation

The purpose of Operational Programme Evaluations, as set out in the Common Provisions Regulation 1303/2013 (CPR), is ‘to improve the quality of the design and implementation of programmes, as well as to assess their effectiveness, efficiency and impact’.  At least once during the programming period, an evaluation shall assess how support from the ESF has contributed to the objectives for each priority.  The CPR also requires ex-ante and ex-post evaluations to be undertaken on Operational Programmes and also provides that the EC will undertake the ex-post evaluation.
