EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

A delegation of MEPs from the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee concluded a rule of law mission to Hungary. They met with politicians, authorities, and stakeholders to discuss an array of concerns about the state of EU values.

Parliament reached provisional political agreement with the Council on the Commission’s proposal for a soil monitoring law. The overall objective is to have healthy European soils by 2050, in line with the EU’s “zero pollution” ambition.
